Character: Cruz
Team role: The Peacemaker, The Awkward Turtle.

background When his teammate Enna first encounters him all trussed up in a crate Cruz seemed to suffer from the typical "maiden in a box" syndrome: confused, naive, and suffering from amnesia...or so he claims. Nevertheless he was designated as valuable cargo, so Enna "steals" him, figuring that she could barter him off later for a handsome amount of money. Cruz is just happy that he's got a friend to rely on, and gladly assists Enna in heists and hoarding valuables. In the meantime, Cruz spends his days thieving, keeping Enna from beating the snot out of everyone within a 5 mile radius, and evading the organization that has placed a bounty on his head.

Personality:Cruz is polite, soft-spoken, and despite starting out with the mentality of a child, is a startlingly quick learner, quickly more intelligence and awareness in the world around him, his insight sometimes surpassing that of his "mentor" Enna.
Because of his large and intimidating appearance, Cruz is frequently the target of testosterone laden aggressiveness from other males, much to the pacifist swordsman's dismay. Even when Cruz tries to talk his way out of conflict, inexperience on human nature and interaction usually just exacerbates the current plight.
The huge sword he carries around doesn't really help with his image either.
Enna is still looking forward to the day that he'd "just grow a pair" someday. The chances of this happening are looking more and more bleak to her with each passing day.

Unlike his more trigger happy partner Enna, Cruz likes to ponder out the situation first, then plan the next best course of action. This mentality is what gets him and his hasty partner out of a few nasty scrapes.

That is not to say he doesn't have a berserk button. Harming his closest comrades or a single hair on a cute little animal would be the last taboo you'll ever want to commit.

As Cruz is still has much to learn about people, society, and the world, he is unaware of a few social conventions, leading to some humorous and awkward results.

the SPO: It is a blade artifact, appearing to be fashioned out of an unknown black stone like material. Grooves cut into the side of the sword reveal a red interior. Because of its sheer weight, the average person is unable to fight with it, let alone hold it for an extended period of time. Furthermore, touching the red grooves causes your energy to be drawn into the blade. This can be remedied by covering the groove area, such as a cloth wrapped around the SPO handle. It is when Cruz gets serious that he removes the bandage, and the SPO absorbs enough lifeforce to become capable of cutting and unleashing energy strikes.

In other words, it'd take an insanely strong person with a bundle of energy to properly wield the SPO.

Strangely enough, while Cruz is definitely not bodybuilder type strong, he is the only person with average strength who can lift the SPO with ease.

Fighting style I wouldn't say he has a fighting style per say...it'd be more of a defending style. Cruz would most likely hide behind the width of the SPO as enemies rain down blows and bullets upon him. Cruz does not have an established style of sword fighting, instead just learning to adapt to and exploit the huge size and crushing force of the SPO. Even so, Cruz tends to hold back and tries to deal the nonfatal blows to his opponent.

And he may have picked up a few tricks from Enna as well...

Relationship with artist: Since Cruz is always willing to help out a person in need, he would probably be the most reliable character that Arugaisou can count on. However, as the most passive member of the team, his peacemaker tendencies is also the most aggravating...
